Love is a many-splendored thing,
It's the April rose that only grows in the early spring,
Love is nature's God's way of giving a reason to be living,
The golden crown that makes a man a king.
Once on a high and windy hill,
In the morning mist two lovers kissed and the world stood still,
Then your fingers touched my silent heart and taught it how to sing,
Yes, true love's a many-splendored thing.~Frank Sinatra~
I continue to be tired and beyond that, weak. I've had a lot of illness in my life: scarlet fever, bronchitis, pneumonia, carbon monoxide, and a litany of viruses and bacterial infection including food poisoning, blood poisoning, and staff which sent red streaks up my leg. Comparisons abound with what I'm feeling now and what I've felt before. Something is not right, I can tell, my legs get weak after walking around for an hour and my arms feel like led after holding a book for 30 minutes. The lab work rules out mono so they want to run more tests (whine). Meanwhile, I continue to sleep about 12 hours a day.
The latest issue of national geographic adventure keeps me sufficiently awake and distracted with suggestions like biking from mexico to canada. Sounds pretty good to me! All I need is two free months, a couple more thousand dollars than I currently possess and a body a little more trained for such adventure.
